Owner and Sales Ladies faces charges for selling overpriced face masks in Tangub City


Provincial Director of Misamis Occidental Police Provincial Office PCOL DANILDO B TUMANDA, reported to PBGEN ROLANDO B ANDUYAN, Regional Director PRO 10 regarding the Violation of RA 10623 and Sec 6 par c. of RA 11469 at Tangub City dated April 7, 2020.

PCOL DANILDO B TUMANDA stated that on April 7, 2020 at about 10:56 AM, personnel of Tangub CPS led by PMAJ HARVEY S ABELLANOSA, CIDG MISOCC PFU, 1003rd Maritime PS together with representative from DTI MISOCC and DOH MISOCC conducted Entrapment Operation to the owners and sales persons of Super 829 Shopping Center located at Brgy II, First Street, Tangub City.

The operation stemmed from a report made by a concerned citizen regarding the overpriced face masks being sold at the said establishment.

Careful validation was conducted prior to the operation where it yield that suspects were selling comparatively higher than the prevailing market price imposed by the DTI.

PCOL DANILDO B TUMANDA commended the operating personnel for a job well done working tirelessly despite being called to be front liners in our QCPs.

He further encouraged all men and women of Misamis Occidental PPO to continue their unwavering efforts and commitment to serve the public in these trying times.

Misamis Occidental Police Provincial Office also urged the public to continue supporting the PNP through reporting true and relevant informations.###
